Know the professions that most require knowledge in Artificial Intelligence

The year 2023 was marked by a series of doubts and concerns of Brazilian society, regarding the implementation of equipment and devices based on Artificial Intelligence (AI). On the other hand, 2024 will be considered the year of adhesion by the market and workers who consider technology, an important ally in labor activities.

The statement is validated in the results of the 4th edition of the research “Doctor Trends Index”, developed in partnership by Microsoft and LinkedIn.The survey released in May was produced from interviews with entrepreneurs from 31 countries (including Brazil) and about 31,000 people.

According to the report released in May of this year, 83% of Brazilian intellectual workers already use the functionalities of AI in employment, while the world average is 75%. In the evaluation of the national public, the technology helps to optimize time and collaborates so that they focus on developing more strategic activities.

The coordinator of the degrees in Cyber Security and Information Security of Senac EAD, Evandro Carlos Teruel, reinforces that the Information Technology (IT) sector has grown significantly in the last four years, due to the accelerated digitalization, driven by the global pandemic and the growth of cyber attacks.

“In this sense, the technologies that stood out were: AI, Big Data, Machine Learning and IoT. The direct reflection was observed in the expansion of the technology macro sector that offered new job opportunities for qualified professionals with practical experience”.

Infrastructure and the labour market

The sectoral report released in 2023 by Brasscom (Association of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Digital Technologies) highlighted that the regions with the highest infrastructure capacity in Telecom, are in the order: Southeast (45.7%), Northeast (21.3%), South (17.2%), Midwest (9%) and North (6.8%).

An estimate made by the association, based on the commitments made by operators in the 5G auction promoted by Anatel (National Telecommunications Agency), is that Brazil reaches 72.1% of connection with this technology. Thus, Latin America would be ranked 4th in the world connectivity ranking.

In order for the technologies mentioned to offer all the functionalities, it is essential that the national connection is compatible and reaches all regions of the country. Evandro clarifies that currently, Artificial Intelligence has stood out more, due to the diversity of applications, which can go from data analysis and automation, to cybersecurity. “The qualified use of AI is essential for innovation and efficiency of companies. The positive side is that there are several projections indicating greater integration and investments in this technology for the coming years”.

Other important information about the AI sector was released by the consultancy Mordor Intelligence at the end of 2023. The growth forecast in the use of technology between the years 2024 and 2029 is 31.2%. The data is justified by the market that operates in the production of components such as hardware, software, and also: end-user industry, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, defense, among others.

Importance of specialized IT training

Returning to the professional theme, a brasscom Research he highlighted that the skilled labor acts primarily in the software and services segment, followed by trade and industry. The demand for professionals continues to rise, so much so that in the first month of 2024, more than 7 thousand workers were hired in the national market.

The graduate coordinator in the IT area of Senac EAD highlights which professions require more knowledge in Artificial Intelligence, follow:

data Scientist (Data Scientist) and Data Analyst, who use AI to analyze large volumes of data and develop machine learning solutions.

software Engineer and Systems Analyst, who apply AI to create automated and efficient systems.

in the area of Cyber Security, Cyber Security Analysts use AI to detect and mitigate attacks, reinforcing the protection of networks.

In this sense, it is important to clarify that Senac EAD has launched a new degree, Cybersecurity Technology. The training complements the knowledge already offered in other degrees, by integrating essential skills of data protection and networks (with skills in information technology), data analysis and software development.

“A training adds a technical and strategic focus on digital defense, risk management, incident response and forensic expertise. This integration creates a virtuous circle of learning, providing a more complete training and aligned with market demands. In addition, it empowers students to consolidate knowledge and update on the new cybersecurity threats”, he explains.

Evandro also highlights the challenging scenario of data security in the business sector, due to the significant increase in cyber attacks and greater complexity in digital environments, resulting from the use of multi-cloud architectures, Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G.

“This makes it difficult to protect sensitive information and comply with security regulations, requiring more sophisticated solutions to manage risks and ensure data security. In this context, Artificial Intelligence (AI) becomes a decisive ally, as it contributes to data protection, by automating security processes, performing behavioral analysis to detect malicious activities and respond to incidents in real time”, concludes the expert.

Therefore, if you are interested in entering the career of information technology, you will find in Senac EAD several options for training in higher education. Increase the chances of employability and stand out in the labor market.
