The discussion about the increase in productivity has been recurrent, especially now due to the processing of the bill (PL 1838/2026), which seeks to reduce the workday from 44 hours per week to 40 hours. Recent studies indicate that the adoption of AI-based solutions can increase productivity by up to 40% in certain operational and administrative activities.
According to a survey by McKinsey, about 60% of the tasks currently performed could be partially automated with technologies already available.
In Brazil, where sectors such as commerce and services still rely heavily on intensive labor, AI can act by optimizing processes, automating repetitive tasks and supporting decision-making.
Technology as a bridge between productivity and well-being
For the coordinator of the course of Analysis and Development of Systems of the Afya University Center of Pato Branco, Czar Augusto Mezzalira, the advancement of AI can contribute to the debates in Brazil.
“A Artificial Intelligence allows companies to do more with less time and less human effort in repetitive tasks. When applied well, it does not replace the worker, but enhances their capacity. This creates a favorable scenario for productivity in the WORK environment”, explains Czar, Afya de Pato Branco.
Cezar points out that automation tools, predictive analysis and digital service are already a reality in many businesses.“Today, an intelligent system can organize inventories, predict demand, automate calls and even suggest commercial strategies. This reduces operational bottlenecks and frees up time for the” teams, adds the coordinator of the ADS course.
According to the expert, AI can be a strategic tool in this process, because it allows redesigning entire operations. “With the advancement of discussions in the country, the trend is that technology and new forms of organization go together, making room for more sustainable models for both companies and for” workers, concluded Cezar, coordinator of the ADS course at Afya de Pato Branco.
