For the second quarter of 2026, 63% of Brazilian companies intend to hire more professionals. This is what the Employment Expectation Survey 2 Q2 2026 reveals, an exclusive and predictive study developed quarterly by ManpowerGroup, a global leader in workforce solutions.
Currently, Brazil ranks 3rd in the global ranking of Net Employment Expectation 3 calculated by subtracting employers who plan to make reductions in staff from those who plan to hire. For the period from April to June 2026, this rate is 55% in the country, behind India (68%) and the United Arab Emirates (60%).
“The fact that Brazil appears among the three countries with the highest expectation of hiring shows that, even in a still moderate economic scenario, companies continue to prioritize the attraction of talent to sustain growth and business transformation. The demand is increasingly directed to professionals with specific skills, able to follow technological changes and new work models”, comments Nilson Pereira, Country Manager at ManpowerGroup Brazil.
Part of this hiring movement is related to the ongoing technological transformation in companies, especially with artificial intelligence. According to the survey, 86% of organizations report workforce-related challenges in the use of AI, mainly due to concerns about privacy and regulation, followed by skills gaps and resistance on the part of workers.
At the same time, the study shows that the adoption of technology in talent management processes is still limited.Only 21% of employers claim that current AI solutions meet their expectations in areas such as recruitment, integration and training, while another 21% say they do not use artificial intelligence on these fronts.
“Companies are realizing that artificial intelligence requires changes in the way they work and in the development of skills. This process involves training, cultural adaptation and definition of clear rules for the use of technology, which explains why many organizations are still in the testing phase or gradual implementation of”, says Pereira.
By observing the intention of contracting by economic sectors in Brazil, the Finance & Insurance sector appears ahead, with 68%. Following, come Information & Sector that brings together the ecosystem of technology, communication and media & 'O, with 67%, and Commerce & Logistics, 57%.
The analysis by regions shows that the State of Sao Paulo stands out, with the highest expectation of hiring: 61% of the companies plan new admissions. After, the city of Sao Paulo (57%), Parana (52%), Rio de Janeiro (48%) and Minas Gerais (45%) appear.
On the global stage, the average Net Employment Expectation is 31%, with 45% of employers indicating intent to hire. The Information sector leads the ranking, with 41%, followed by Finance & Insurance, with 35%, and by Construction & Real Estate, which appears in third place, with 34%.
