A\u00a0Jadlog<\/strong>, one of the main carriers of fractional loads of e-commerce and the B2B market in the country, today (07\/05) opens in Sao Paulo, the new logistics Hub, which will allow to double its operational processing capacity. The project is the result of an investment of more R$ 200 million, the largest ever made by Jadlog in its 20 years of history. The new hub has state-of-the-art technologies and equipment, including a 310 meter long assortment and the use of Artificial Intelligence in various stages of the operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAfter growing tenfold in volume since the acquisition of Jadlog by the Geopost group in 2016, we are making the most relevant investment in our history, with the aim of expanding our facilities, operational capacity and bringing the most advanced technology in\u201d, says Bruno Tortorello, CEO of Jadlog. \u201cA our new headquarters will allow us to operate with high standards of intralogistics, strengthening the operation of our national distribution network, formed by more than 500 franchises, 17 branches and the network PICKup, of 4 thousand commercial points neighborhood partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Installed in an area of about 20 thousand m\u00b2, the hub has 87 docks, about 2 thousand m\u00b2 of mezzanine for offices and 5 thousand m\u00b2 of support area.

The new sorting equipment that automates the sorting of goods & services & transports orders up to 35 kg and is designed to operate at high speed, can process 18 thousand volumes per hour, significantly increasing productivity and reducing failures and rework. Among its main differentials are the high level of automation, accuracy in reading and separating volumes, flexible layout and integration with Jadlog management systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe use of the new conveyor belts and automated sorting system will allow a significant increase in the volume of orders processed per hour, twice as large as the current\u201d capacity, notes Tortorello.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the CEO of Jadlog, automation eliminates bottlenecks in internal flow and ensures greater regularity, speed and predictability in operation, especially in peak periods such as Black Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project will contribute directly to the reduction of delivery times for B2C and B2B, by accelerating the screening and dispatch steps. This will positively impact the total lead time, allowing faster deliveries and greater predictability on time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specific technologies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specific technologies include high-speed scanners, advanced code-reading systems and computer vision solutions that increase screening accuracy, increase processing speed and reduce operational errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scanning and artificial intelligence tools will be applied in automatic volume reading, operational data analysis, decision-making support, flow balancing and demand forecasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Hub will operate with state-of-the-art warehouse management systems (WMS) integrated with Jadlog's enterprise systems, enabling real-time control of operations, full traceability and continuous optimization of internal flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sustainable construction<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed to follow the sustainability strategy of Jadlog and its controller, Geopost, the new Hub was built with infrastructure prepared to minimize environmental impacts, optimize resources and reduce emissions. It has high-efficiency LED lighting, automation systems for energy consumption control and equipment designed to reduce energy expenditure. It was also designed to progressively support the operation and expansion of Jadlog's electric vehicle fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the unit, responsible waste management practices will be adopted, focusing on correct segregation, recycling of materials, reuse of packaging and reduction of plastic use. The new Hub project includes solutions for rational use of water, including consumption reduction devices and reuse whenever possible.For the initiatives implemented, Jadlog will receive the silver LEED certification seal for the new venture.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
