NSFOCUS aglobal leader in cybersecurity, announced a record performance in its 2025 financial report for Latin America. For the second consecutive year, the company exceeded its financial targets, registering a result 54% above the stipulated amount. The growth was mainly driven by high demand for solutions to protect against Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks and the consolidation of security tools for web applications (WAF).
The progress is not limited to Brazil. Neighboring countries such as Chile, Colombia, and Peru stand out as key players in the positive results, demonstrating an increase in the region's cybersecurity maturity.
“The cybersecurity sector has been gaining increasing prominence in C-level discussions, which also favors investments in the area, since digitalization has made attack surfaces ever larger,” says Raphael Tedesco, director of new business at NSFOCUS for Latin America.
The new profile of attacks: Tbps scale and AI
The market's growth is a direct response to the evolution of criminal tactics. According to the report, volumetric attacks in the Terabits per second (Tbps) range are no longer a technical rarity. Currently, internet providers, critical infrastructure, and cloud services face frequent offensives with peaks between 5 and 7 Tbps.
In addition to volume, complexity has increased. The illegal DDoS- as-a-Service market, driven by Artificial Intelligence, has made attacks cheap and accessible. Criminals now use "multi-vector" tactics, aiming to saturate multiple defense points simultaneously, orchestrated by global botnets.
Intelligent Defense and the Future with NSFGPT
To combat the use of AI by cybercriminals, NSFOCUS is betting on its own technology. The company, which has been developing AI solutions for over five years to reduce false positives, projects a 60% growth in sales of its threat intelligence (TI) platform this year.
The company's strategic advantage lies in its database: NSFOCUS technology monitors approximately 40% of global internet traffic before other providers, enriching its detection capabilities.
“We will integrate NSFGPT — our security AI designed for operational efficiency — into our solutions. The goal is to create a new source of libraries that optimizes the process of identifying and responding to new incidents,” concludes Tedesco.
The company's plan is to use AI extensively to automate workflows and target machine learning specifically for its clients' critical infrastructure, ensuring resilience in an increasingly hostile digital landscape.
