Getnet, a global fintech company specializing in payment solutions within the Santander Group, announces the start of the CEO transition process. As part of the succession process, Cristiane Nogueira will assume the position of CEO of the Brazilian operation, pending approval from the Central Bank of Brazil, estimated for October. Cassio Schmitt will remain in his role until the transition is complete and will remain on Getnet's Board of Directors.
With over 25 years of experience in the financial and payment sectors, Cristiane returns to Getnet to lead the company's next growth phase, focusing on the evolution of the solutions ecosystem, innovation, and the experience of clients and partners.
Throughout her career, the executive has worked at institutions such as BankBoston, Banco Safra, and Punto/Edenred, in addition to accumulating more than nine years of experience at Santander. Cristiane also worked for over three years at Getnet Brasil, during which time she contributed to commercial growth, the development of new business, and the strengthening of relationships with clients and partners.
“It is a great satisfaction to return to Getnet to lead the next stage of our journey. I find a solid company, with a highly qualified team, a consistent strategy, and an increasingly complete ecosystem of solutions. Our focus will be to continue this growth journey, strengthening our ability to innovate and deliver solutions that support the development of our clients in a constantly transforming market,” says Cris Nogueira.
“In these almost five years at the helm of Getnet, I have had the opportunity to be part of one of the most transformative periods in the payments sector. I am very proud of what we have built together and I remain on the Board of Directors confident that the company is well-structured for the next chapters of this evolution,” says Cassio Schmitt.
