Mercado Livre expands same-day deliveries and now also operates on Sundays

Mercado Livre, leader in e-commerce in Latin America, expands its logistics operation in Brazil and starts to carry out Same day deliveries also on Sundays from June 14th. The service reaches cities in all regions of the country and reinforces the company's commitment to offering more convenience for platform users.

With the expansion, consumers now have even more flexibility to buy and receive their orders on the same day, including on Sundays. The advance is added to an operation that in the first quarter of 2026 carried out 76% for deliveries within 48 hours, a reflection of more than a decade of continuous investment in infrastructure and logistics technology.

“Expanding same-day delivery to Sundays is another step in consolidating our logistics leadership in Brazil. In 2026, we announced an investment of R$57 billion in the country, with a relevant part destined to the expansion of our logistics infrastructure to offer increasingly more convenience to Brazilian consumers, wherever and whenever they need it”, he states Frederico Rezeck, vice-president of transport at Mercado Livre.

The expansion of Mercado Livre's logistics operations in 2026 also foresees the opening of 14 new Fulfillment Distribution Centers, totaling 42 units in the country. With one of the largest logistics networks in Latin America, the Brazilian structure has more than 5 thousand logistics operations, a dedicated fleet of more than 8 thousand vehicles, besides 9 aircraft in partnership with GOLLOG and about 500 robots used in distribution centers for storage and order picking. The use of artificial intelligence for demand forecasting and routing is also one of the pillars that support the efficiency of the operation, allowing us to anticipate volumes, optimize routes and ensure consistency of delivery times across the country.

With the expansion of same-day delivery to Sundays, Mercado Livre reinforces its commitment to being present at all times when Brazilian consumers purchase, offering more agility, predictability and convenience regardless of the day of the week.
