Between July 1st and 7th, the seventh edition of Prime Day will take place, a moment of celebration not only for Prime members, who will have access to exclusive offers, but also for the more than 9,000 temporary workers who join the more than 55,000 direct and indirect Amazon employees in Brazil. In preparation for the largest edition of the event in Brazil, the company opens thousands of temporary positions each year to reinforce operations during the period of high demand, enabling fast deliveries to customers throughout Brazil and preserving a safe and healthy work environment.
The 50% growth in temporary job openings compared to the previous year reflects Amazon's accelerated growth in the country. As part of its ongoing expansion, Amazon now operates 300 logistics centers, 100 more than in the previous year, covering all Brazilian states. Over the past 15 years, the company has invested more than R$ 75 billion in Brazil in infrastructure, logistics, technology, cloud services, professional development, and support for entrepreneurship. In 2025 alone, investments exceeded R$ 19 billion, almost five times the annual average since 2011 and equivalent to more than R$ 52 million per day. Job creation has kept pace with this acceleration, tripling the number of direct and indirect jobs across Amazon's multiple businesses in Brazil.
