PMEs batem recorde de vendas no setor alimentício na semana de  Páscoa com alta de 27%

Small and medium-sized companies showed momentum and strategy in Easter Week 2026, between March 30 and April 05, with a significant performance that resulted in approximately 6.3 million sales made and R$ 1.23 billion transacted, according to a survey by Olist, an ecosystem focused on e-commerce solutions for SMEs.

The number represents a growth of 27% compared to the same period of the previous year, showing that, even in the face of a more challenging macroeconomic scenario. The average ticket was R$ 194 per transaction. Products such as candies, chewing gum, marshmallows and chocolate led the public preference. 

Geographically, the states of Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, Parana and Santa Catarina concentrated 77% of sales, registering a variation of 3% in the same period of the previous year. Even with the high prices, with chocolates being among the most pressed items, the success of SMEs during Easter is explained by anticipation strategies, focus on shopping experience and differentiation. For Fabio Gallo, COO of Olist, the key is to plan ahead and explore the differentials that only small businesses can deliver.

“Even when price is not the main draw, dates like Easter remain strategic opportunities for small businesses”, states Gallo. “With advance, creativity and focus on the consumer experience, it is possible to generate value and win customers”, highlights.

Gallo also points out that those who prepare months in advance are more likely to negotiate well with suppliers, create relevant campaigns and avoid last-minute decisions.The shopping experience is also an important differential, especially close service, careful packaging, agile deliveries and humanized communication, elements that contribute to customer loyalty.

Also, telling the story behind the products, exploring the power of storytelling, helps create emotional connections with the audience. “Consumers are more attentive to the origin of what they buy, and this can be decisive at the time of the” choice, reinforces.
