Carrefour starts selling on Amazon Brazil and accelerates online sales

Amazon announces the arrival of thousands of products from Carrefour, a chain that is part of the Carrefour Brasil Group, to Amazon.com.br. The partnership expands the portfolio available to millions of customers in essential everyday categories, at a time when Brazilian e-commerce continues on an expansion trajectory, with growth of 15% in 2025, reaching R$235 billion in revenue, according to ABComm.

Amazon.com.br customers already have access to more than 1,300 items — including household appliances, electronics, smartphones and non-perishable grocery items. All purchases come with Amazon's A to Z Guarantee, which ensures additional consumer protection.

Carrefour operates as an independent seller on the Amazon marketplace, with full management of the entire chain — from inventory to delivery and after-sales. The logistics operation will be centralized in the Cajamar distribution center (Greater São Paulo), where all deliveries to customers throughout Brazil will depart, ensuring agility and efficiency in service.

Amazon has built an integrated network in Brazil that combines international technology with scale and local knowledge — reaching 100% of municipalities and millions of customers every day quickly and safely. When a partner like Carrefour brings its products to our marketplace, it gains immediate access to this infrastructure and technology to grow. And the customer gains more variety, more trusted brands and speed of delivery. This is how we build together the most complete e-commerce in Brazil”says Juliana Sztrajtman, president of Amazon Brazil.

We are very excited about this partnership, which represents an important advance in our digital strategy and reinforces Carrefour's presence in an increasingly connected ecosystem. By expanding integration between channels, we evolved our omnichannel proposal and strengthened e-commerce, always with the aim of offering more convenience, accessibility and a fluid customer experience. Technological evolution is a priority for the Carrefour Brasil Group, and we remain focused on generating concrete results for both the business and the consumer“, he says Aydes Marques, CDO of Grupo Carrefour Brasil.

In the initial months, the operation is already showing significant traction. The most prominent categories in sales reflect the strong demand for durable goods and entertainment, led by Household Appliances (72%), TV and Video (12%); Electronics (6%); Bazaar and Others (10%).

For Amazon Prime members, this convenience is amplified by free shipping on selected products and other shopping and entertainment benefits that are already part of the subscription, such as unlimited access to Prime Video, 100 million songs and podcasts on Amazon Music and free games with Amazon Luna.

Since its arrival in the country with AWS in 2011, Amazon has demonstrated an increasing commitment to the development of Brazil. With more than R$ 75 billion invested in logistics, entertainment, local technology development, cloud services, generation and skills training, Amazon also fosters entrepreneurship and initiatives aimed at local communities.
