EBANX strengthens global executive team with CTO and CHRO appointments

O EBANX today, it announced the strengthening of the global executive team with the appointments of Kalecser Kurtz as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Jefferson Nunes as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Isabela Rebello as Global Vice President of Risk and Compliance. The reinforcement follows the year with the highest total volume of payments (TPV) processed in the history of EBANX, in addition to the announcement of expansion of the operation to five more countries in Asia.

Last year, EBANX TPV grew 48%, reaching the highest volume since its founding 14 years ago. In March, the company inaugurated a headquarters in Singapore aimed at the entire Asia-Pacific region, as well as supporting global merchants. Last week, it announced expansion to Turkey, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam, expanding operations to seven Asian markets, as well as Latin American and African countries, where it processes payments to more than 500 merchants based in North America, Europe and Asia.

Kalecser Kurtz he took over as CTO after 10 years at EBANX, where he started as a Software Architect and most recently served as VP of Technology, ensuring the robustness, accuracy and reliability of the EBANX payment platform. “As CTO, my role is to contribute to the continuity of the technological evolution of EBANX with excellence, ambition and depth. While Artificial Intelligence transforms the way companies develop and grow, I see this change as a catalyst for learning, inventions and possibilities.For EBANX, this results in stronger products, smarter execution and greater capacity to expand into new” markets”, he said Kurtz.

Former Director of Human Resources at EBANX, Jefferson Nunes's he returns to the company as CHRO, bringing experience from global technology companies such as Uber. In the new position, he will be responsible for the global human resources strategy of EBANX, with support for the team of more than 700 professionals distributed in 16 countries. “As CHRO, my main mission will be to further strengthen the culture of EBANX in all countries with operations, giving the necessary support for the growth of the company and, consequently, impacting the results we deliver to merchants and consumers who serve”, explained Nunes.
 

Isabella Rebello she joins EBANX as Global Vice President of Risk and Compliance, after serving in executive positions at companies such as Amazon, Stripe and BTG Pactual.She will be responsible for advancing the global compliance and risk management program of EBANX. “One of the key value propositions of EBANX as a global merchandiser partner is the security of operations, with reliability, full compliance and the ability to navigate the complexities of each emerging market.I am excited to join the team and further strengthen this way of acting of EBANX”, said Rebello.

Rebello enters the company in a decisive phase for the Risk and Compliance area, with milestones such as the granting of the Major Payment Institution (MPI) license by MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore), the central bank of Singapore, where the company established the HQ for the Asia-Pacific region.

The new appointments follow a number of recent announcements from leaders, including Marie-Elise Drug as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), Marin Mignot as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Eduardo de Abreu as Chief Product Officer (CPO) and regional CEO of EBANX Singapore.The announcements reinforce the company's focus on excellence in the areas of Technology, Human Resources, Compliance, Commercial, Operations and Product.
