With 5 thousand vacancies, Qualifica SP opens registrations for free course of female entrepreneurship by WhatsApp
Over the last few years, WhatsApp has consolidated itself as a tool present in our daily lives, whether to talk to friends and family or to solve work demands. Thinking about the practicality of access, Qualifica SP Empreenda, from the Secretariat of Economic Development (SDE), in partnership with Itau, opens the registrations for 5 thousand vacancies of the free course Ela Empreende!, an initiative aimed exclusively at women who wish to start or strengthen their small businesses.
Developed in digital format, with short classes and simple language, the content has been adapted for use on mobile, allowing participants to fit the classes into the routine of everyday life. Registration can be made through the site www.qualificasp.sp.gov.
With an introductory character, Ela Empreende! is structured in 10 modules that address initial concepts of entrepreneurship, such as planning, financial organization, billing control, digital marketing, innovation, access to credit, networking and the specific challenges of undertaking as a woman in Brazil. The content was developed for immediate practical application in the day-to-day of small businesses.
With more than 147 million users in the country, the choice of WhatsApp as a platform for entrepreneurial training dialogues with the reality of the Brazilian population. According to Statista, Brazil is the second largest application market in the world, behind only India, and is regularly used by 99% of Brazilians with internet access.
“We believe that public policy needs to go where people are. By using a tool so present in the daily lives of women, we have been able to expand the scope of qualification, support female entrepreneurship and create real conditions for the generation of income”, says Amiris de Paula, Undersecretary of Entrepreneurship and Productivity at SDE.
