The Brazilian Association of Human Resources of São Paulo (ABRH-SP) is taking a firm stance against the regression in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies in organizations. At a time when large corporations, especially in the United States, are reducing their efforts in this area, Brazil seeks to stand out as a global example of continued commitment to DEI.
On August 21st, ABRH-SP will launch the manifesto "No to the regression of the diversity agenda!" during a special event that will bring together executives and CEOs from major Brazilian companies. The goal is to formalize the country's commitment to the cause and promote the exchange of experiences to strengthen inclusion in the corporate environment.
Luiz Eduardo Drouet, President of the Executive Board of ABRH-SP, highlights the opportunity for Brazil to become a world reference: “While we see a worrying regression in other countries, Brazil has the chance to show that internal employee engagement is not a passing fad, but a strategic necessity for the future of organizations.”.
The manifesto, which will be signed by leaders from various organizations, reaffirms the importance of not only preserving but also expanding advances in the field of DEI (Development and Innovation). Drouet emphasizes that more actions and investments are needed, as they drive innovation, competitiveness, and sustainable development.
ABRH-SP calls on all companies and professionals to join this movement, aiming to solidify Brazil as a global leader on this essential issue. The event promises to be a milestone in the fight for diversity and inclusion in the Brazilian corporate environment, contrasting with the regressive trends observed in other countries.
