More than 80% of participants in the Bora Zé program have already managed to formally re-enter the job market 180 days after completing the program, created in 2023 as an initiative led by Ambev and Zé Delivery, its beverage delivery platform, which is present in 714 Brazilian cities. The Bora initiative, the company's productive inclusion platform, focuses on this segment of the population and their families, offering opportunities for financial empowerment, professional development, and connections within the Ambev ecosystem, in addition to providing scholarships for supplementary elementary and high school education.
The educational and employability benefits of Bora Zé, which operates throughout the country, have already impacted more than two thousand people directly and indirectly. The partnership with Generation Brazil, a global NGO focused on education for work, and the companies Analytica Ensino and Eduk, which operate in the formal education and online courses segment, fosters the generation of new perspectives for participants, such as Daniela Oliveira, 31, one of Bora Zé's students. She says she learned about the initiative through her husband, who worked as a delivery driver for Zé Delivery. “I was interested in the project and the proposal, which, with the psychological support and benefits, were essential for my training. Because of my daughter's school adaptation, I was afraid I would be able to contribute and continue in the project, but all the support and care they gave us made their concern for the participants clear. Today, I achieved my goal and I am working at BEES,” she says, having been hired by the company's B2B platform.
One of the pillars of Bora Zé is connection; therefore, delivery drivers and family members with a completed high school education will also have access to a monthly learning path to connect them with job opportunities within the Ambev ecosystem, in the areas of sales, retail, commercial, and logistics. For delivery drivers who do not have a completed high school education, the project offers free supplementary education scholarships, and upon completion, the person is automatically connected to the learning path for the job market. “With Bora, we are not only opening doors to our ecosystem, we are bringing more people into the loop and, together, we are creating opportunities with a real positive impact for the whole society,” comments Carlos Pignatari, Director of Social Impact at Ambev.
