The couple Danilo and Priscila, originally from Janaúba (MG), transformed their passion for electric cars into an innovative urban mobility business. Less than two years after launching 100% Eletric, the urban transport app already carries out around 3,000 rides per month in the city and achieves an annual revenue of R$ 500,000, serving residents and strengthening the sustainable culture in the region.
As the name suggests, the fleet is 100% composed of electric cars. For passengers, it's an economical, comfortable, fast, and sustainable ride; for drivers, it's a chance to earn even more than with traditional apps. They have no costs for electricity, vehicle tax, or car maintenance, which are fully covered by the company.
“The focus of the operation is on punctuality, quality, and the positive experience offered to passengers. We want each ride to inspire confidence, both for those in the car and for the driver. Our goal is for sustainable transportation to become the natural choice in the city,” says Danilo.
The project began with an investment of approximately R$ 200,000, allocated to the purchase of the first electric vehicle, the installation of solar panels, and the initial structuring of the application. But, before that, the idea stemmed from a personal concern: the daily commutes between Janaúba and the neighboring city, where the couple managed a lottery shop, were costly for them and for the environment.
“I realized it was possible to combine economics, sustainability, and an innovative business opportunity in our city. Each ride we provide represents a mobility alternative and a step towards reducing pollutant emissions. This motivated us to dream of an even greater impact in the future,” explains Danilo.
Initially, Danilo himself operated the app, conducting test runs and learning how to configure the platform—he uses Machine, Gaudium's white-label software focused on mobility and deliveries. Later, friends and selected drivers joined the operation, allowing for the expansion of the fleet.
Today, the app has eight drivers, all uniformed and trained to ensure safety and excellence. The minimum fare is R$ 9.99, which allows for long trips within the city. Another attractive feature is the drivers' compensation, who receive between R$ 2,500 and R$ 3,000 net per month.
The couple plans to consolidate operations in Janaúba and expand to neighboring cities, maintaining their own fleet of electric vehicles and opening up opportunities for new drivers who already own electric cars and are interested in implementing sustainable mobility in their municipalities. The growth strategy also includes partnerships with local businesses.
“Our plan is to grow sustainably, bringing electric mobility to neighboring cities and inspiring others to adopt similar solutions. We want 100% Electric to be a benchmark not only in comfort and punctuality, but also in innovation and environmental awareness,” concludes Danilo.
