Ploomes, the largest CRM company in Latin America, announced the hiring of Caio Lopes as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With over 13 years of experience in the technology market, Lopes arrives with the mission of enhancing the company's deliverables and operational efficiency, at a time when the global CRM sector is booming.
According to Grand View Research, the global CRM market is expected to exceed US$150 billion by 2030, with a double-digit annual growth rate. In 2023, investments in the sector reached US$65 billion. Given this booming scenario, Ploomes seeks to strengthen its operations and innovation with the arrival of Lopes.
“I am excited about this new challenge and very happy with our team. I hope to continue what has been done in recent years, bringing with me knowledge in development processes and team organization, to further enhance our solutions, always meeting the expectations of management and our clients,” said Caio Lopes, the new CTO of Ploomes.
Holding a degree in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP), Lopes co-founded Mobile2you, a company specializing in the creation of customized applications for digital banks. Under his leadership, Mobile2you served more than 50 digital banks and expanded its team to 100 employees, being acquired in 2022 by Dimensa, where Lopes assumed a director position.
In his new position at Ploomes, Lopes plans to use his extensive experience in development processes and team organization to optimize processes and results. “Taking on the technology leadership role at Ploomes, a rapidly growing company with a solid customer base, is an extremely motivating challenge. Our goal is to continue innovating and delivering value to our partners, strengthening operational efficiency and customer relationship management,” he added.
Lopes' arrival comes at a promising time for the CRM sector in Brazil. According to projections by IDC Brazil, the area is expected to generate R$ 8.5 billion in 2024, representing a growth of 13.9% compared to last year.
Matheus Pagani, CEO and co-founder of Ploomes, highlighted the importance of hiring Lopes: “Ploomes has experienced accelerated growth in recent years, and the engineering team has grown at a similar rate. Therefore, we were looking for someone to fill the CTO position with experience and a stronger focus on managing deliverables and structuring teams, but without abandoning our hands-on culture and informal relationship style.”
