Cria Digital Launches Free Course to Train Low-Income Youth to Become Digital Influencers

Amidst the growing digital market, a new initiative promises to transform the lives of thousands of young Brazilians. Cria Digital, a 100% online and free course, is offered by the NGO JA Rio de Janeiro in partnership with M2BR Academy and Canva Brasil. With a practical and inspiring approach, the course offers 40,000 places for young people aged 15 to 29, especially those in situations of social vulnerability, who wish to become digital influencers and content creators.

The Digital Creation course covers everything from the fundamentals of digital marketing to content production for social media, including topics such as influencer marketing, the creative process, scriptwriting, and recording and editing videos with a mobile phone. The course also features an exclusive module taught by Canva Brazil, which will teach you how to create attractive images and build a successful media kit. In addition, a Canva library with pre-made templates will be provided.

This initiative arises as a response to the difficult scenario of the youth job market in Brazil. According to IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), by the end of 2022, 10.9 million young people between the ages of 15 and 29 were neither working nor studying. This course aims to offer an opportunity for inclusion in the digital market and entrepreneurship, promoting the diversity of people, ideas, and experiences.

“Cria Digital is the result of our desire to transform lives through education. We want young people to develop skills that go beyond technical knowledge, so they can explore their unlimited potential and generate income,” highlights Rafael Coelho, Marketing Coordinator at JA Rio de Janeiro.

Ricardo Marsili, founding partner of M2BR Academy, adds: “Democratizing access to Influencer Marketing through a free course is a way to contribute to the inclusion of these young people in the job market and the world of entrepreneurship.”

Special participation by Jonathan Azevedo

Actor Jonathan Azevedo, known for his role in the Globoplay series "The Game That Changed History," is participating in the first module of the course, where he shares his journey and gives tips on how to influence others with purpose. "I am honored by this invitation. I want more young people to have the same opportunities I had. Social media is a way to change your life and occupy new spaces," says Azevedo.

Another highlight is finance expert Gilvan Bueno, chosen by Forbes magazine in 2020 as one of the Black Innovators in Financial Education in Brazil. He concludes the course with an adapted version of the program "My Money, My Business".

The course features ten instructors, including educator Michele França, M2BR Academy CEO Ricardo Marsili, and digital influencers such as Gabi Almeida and Cesar Antonio. The total course duration is 5 hours and 15 minutes, and participants who complete the course by November 22, 2024, will be entered into a draw for 15 Canva PRO coupons, valid for six months.
